{"id":1305,"date":"2019-07-17T12:25:59","date_gmt":"2019-07-17T11:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.erjjiostudios.com\/envision\/?p=1305"},"modified":"2023-09-27T14:27:54","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T13:27:54","slug":"langham-street-2","status":"publish","type":"case-study","link":"https:\/\/dev.erjjiostudios.com\/envision\/case-study\/langham-street-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Langham Street"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Envision was appointed by Great Marlborough Estates to undertake the M&amp;E design for the refurbishment of an 18<sup>th<\/sup> century period building.&nbsp;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Envision have recently returned to check out the installation and the overall running of the systems, providing feedback to the client.&nbsp;The scheme incorporates 7 floors with two large penthouse apartments and an A3 shell space on the ground and lower ground floor.<\/p>\n<p>Envision\u2019s design required close coordination with the Architect, Structural Engineer and Acoustician to ensure planning requirements regarding noise and energy were met. The existing building was mainly used as office space, so converting this to a residential scheme required significant alterations.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme is also heavily listed which meant Envision had to take historic items such as coving, cupboards and detailed ceiling artwork into consideration and use a sympathetic approach to address this.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme utilises a communal hybrid Air Source Heat Pump System which removes the need for refrigerant leak detection, it also incorporates a detailed metering strategy to ensure tenants receive accurate monthly bills. The data is also displayed on each tenants AV system so they are able to monitor their daily energy use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Envision was appointed by Great
