David served with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service for 27 years working in fire service operations, training and development and the fire safety department as an inspecting officer.

David was involved with training fire safety officers within the Northwest Region (Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire).

David is also a qualified fire investigation officer and was a brigade level Fire Investigation Officer for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

He now is now director of his own company undertaking fire risk assessments of all types of premises and delivering fire safety risk assessment training.

David has also undertaken fire risk assessment of some of the countries blue chip companies.

David has a Diploma in Education (Dip Ed) and lecturers in fire safety specialising in fire risk assessment. He has delivered training to many individual fire safety fire assessors, facilities managers and health and safety managers from a broad range of companies. David has also delivered training to several national companies and blue chip companies. David has also developed several bespoke training courses to suit customer requirements.

David is a Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM) and a Member of the Institute Fire Engineers (MIFireE). David is also a member of the UK-AFI (Fire Investigation).

David has a University of Bolton qualification in Occupational Safety and Health and is pleased to have recently had his membership of IOSH upgraded to Tech IOSH.

David is also pleased to gain registration on the Nationally Accredited Fire Risk Assessors Register (NAFRAR).
David has a wide range fire safety qualifications several which are at an academic level.
